One of the biggest difficulties doing business in China and purchasing products from China is the language barrier. Most western buyers don´t speak Chinese and are therefore dependent on their suppliers who may speak English. If you are German, Italian or French national, English may already be your 2nd language; the same as for your Chinese counter-part. Verbal communication problems may be overcome, but then there is the problem of reading Chinese Characters. Hardly any Western customer can decipher Chinese writing. Many Importers from China face this problem: They would like to order a sample from a manufacturer in China. The sample is often free of charge. But for sending the samples overseas the manufacturer asks for a fee of US $ 50 or more to cover the express shipping costs.
As a strategic buyer however, you often order samples from various suppliers in order to check the workmanship and compare similar offers.
Quickly, several hundreds of US dollars for express fees for sample sending pile up. Not very efficient!
To address this problem we have created our sample collection and consolidation service in China back in 2001.
